The Oakland Raiders selected receiver Amari Cooper No. 4 overall in the 2015 NFL Draft. I thought the if Leonard Williams was available, he would be the pick but I am happy with Cooper here. When it comes to pro ready, Cooper doesn’t have to take a back seat to anyone in the draft.

Cooper dominated college football last year with 1,750 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2014. And he did so with superior route-running to go with great speed and hands while looking smooth doing it. Cooper came from a pro style offense so he won’t go through a lot of the struggles rookie receivers go through.

He knows where to be on a given play and will always get there on time for the quarterback. So Derek Carr will trust him right away as there is no one roster that is as skilled as Cooper is. Third down is where the Raiders will need him the most I expect him to show up just like he did in college.

Cooper is going to help Carr make that jump in his second year in 2015.
