Not that they had a choice but it looks like the Chicago Bears are going to believe in quarterback Jay Cutler for another year. They got him a new weapon in the first round in superfreak receiver Kevin White at pick No. 7 The time for Cutler to do it is now and he if he can’t with White to go with Alshon Jefferies, he can’t do it at all.
At 6’3″, 212 pounds, White is a physical receiver at the line of scrimmage on his release. He also uses that physicality to body up when the coverage is tight and ball is on it’s way anyway. That physicality also extends to when he’s running after the catch he will truck a defensive back just as easily as he can make him miss.
He also runs a 4.35 40 so he can take it the distance after the catch or simply blow past his man to get open deep. But even if he isn’t open down the field, has long arms to go with the aforementioned physicality to come up with the football. He will definitely make an immediate impact on the Bears with the superfreak skill-set he posseses.
