The Indianapolis Colts must plan on getting to the Super Bowl by lighting up the skies. With the No. 29 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, they selected speedy receiver Phillip Dorsett. I thought the Colts were going to address their defense, especially the run defense but that was not the priority.

However, the Colts did get themselves a good player and when paired with quarterback Andrew Luck, Dorsett will be a superstar. The 4.25 40 he ran at his pro day is evidence of the blazing speed he has to take the top off the defense. Dorsett gets to that top speed quickly and easily leaves man-to-man defenders.

Along with his speed to work outside, he has the quickness and explosion to work from the slot. And down the field, for a smaller receiver, he does well going up and getting contested catches. His crazy big-play production would make you think that he’s a vertical-only receiver but that’s not the case.

He comes from a pro style offense and can run the whole rout tree so he will go in and light it up right away.
