1. player. 56.
The sun is soon to set on Cincinnati Bengals left tackle Andrew Whitworth’s great career. He’s also a free agent at the end of the year so the selection of talented left tackle Cedrick Ogbuehi in the firs round is a good one. Ogbuehi won’t be back from his ACL tear until well into the season this year so Whitworth will have his left tackle job.

In the second round, the Bengals went ahead and took Jake Fisher, another left tackle. Fisher is a good fit for the zone-blocking scheme the Bengals run as that is what he did in college. And current right tackle Andre Smith will be a free agent at the end of this season as well.

It makes me wonder if there will be some trades going on before the deadline, especially if Ogbuehi makes it back early enough. Fisher may even get some run at guard this year before becoming the team’s right tackle in 2016. One person of note in this draft is Josh Shaw of USC, who’s a good player picked in the fourth round because of some off-the-field issues.
. OT. Texas A&M. Cedric Ogbuehi
