player. 50.
Quarterback Mathew Stafford can stand to have a little less pressure in his face when passing. He can also use a little help from a running game so he and receiver Calvin Johnson don’t have to do everything. So in the first round, the Detroit Lions took guard Laken Thomlinson to help in both of those areas.

In the second round, the Lions go ahead and address the running game portion of things. They take running back Ameer Abdulla, who’s a true big-play threat running the ball and as a receiver out of the backfield. Tomlinson being picked just ahead of him will help him immensely as the Lions didn’t run block very well in 2014.

In the third round, the Lions got themselves a corner in Alex Carter, who’s an underrated player. I don’t expect Carter to start right away as Rashean Mathis seems to have slowed the Sunset of his career down a bit. Gabe Wright could take that three -technique spot and the Lions are still very formidable in the NFC North.
. OG. Duke. Laken Tomlinson. 1
