Vic Beasley makes perfect sense for head coach and former Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. He uses a smaller, more athletic defensive end for his hybrid, elephant 4-3 scheme. And at 6’3″, 246 pounds, running a 4.5 40 and having a 42-inch vertical leap, Beasley fits the category.

It also helps that Beasley is the best at sacking the quarterback of the prospects as he has the most career sacks of them all. The Falcons helped their in the second round even more by picking cornerback Jaelen Collins. Collins will be a big help in coverage as long as he’s not playing against Amari Cooper. (See their college game in 2014)

Then in the third round, the Falcons got themselves a runningback in Tevin Coleman. Steven Jackson is done so this was a very necessary pick and a good fit as he ran from the shotgun but it was zone-blocking. Put that with Matt Ryan, Juilio Jones and company and the Falcons are on the way up.
. DE. . Vic Beasley. 1. player. 44
