B+.
Quarterback Blake Bortles acquitted himself in 2014 when you consider what was around him. Many believe Bortles crumbled as the season went on, and it shows in his stats. Weeks 1-8, Bortles completed 63.5 percent of his passes, averaged 6.6 YPA, took 17 sacks with a six TDs to 12 INTs ratio.

He cut down on his turnovers in Weeks 9-17 with a 5 TDs 5 INT ratio, completing just 55.4 percent of his throws, averaging 5.5 YPA and taking 38 sacks. Bortles held onto the ball far too long as a rookie. But getting back WR Allen Robinson with the additions of RT Jermey Parnell and TE Julius Thomas should help the cause.

And along with having some open targets, Bortles will get RB T.J. Yeldon and OG A.J. Cann for the running game. I’m not sure what kind of season the Jaguars will have without DE Dante Fowler, who already tore his ACL, but Bortles will have something to work with. And he will see show us the Jaguars deserve high marks for getting their franchise quarterback.
. QB. Jacksonville Jaguars. BLAKE BORTLES
