College
At Oregon, Martiota put him the kind of numbers that would be hard to duplicate in a video game. In three years, he threw for 10,796 yards, 112 touchdowns and just 14 interceptions with a 171.8 quarterback rating. Then on top of all that, he rushed for 2,265 yards with 31 touchdowns and a 6.7 yards per carry average.
As a starter, Mariota went 36-5 and in his last year in college, he won the Heisman Trophy. That was a magical season in which he threw for 4,454 yards, 42 touchdowns and just for interceptions with a quarterback rating of 181.7. After a season like that, you can see that he had no choice but to go ahead and enter the draft.
There’s absolutely nothing else he can do in college football as far as running up stats go. The only thing you can really say about Mariota is that he came up short in a few of his biggest games. The biggest one being just a few months ago when he played in the National Championship game against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
