Flower’s size, strength, length andathleticism made him a plus pass protector at the University of Miami in 2014. According to Pro Football Focus, Flowers allowed zero sacks and just 10 total pressures. There were only two tackles among all the prospects in the 2015 NFL Draft that allowed less pressures.

Flowers had his outstanding 2014 despite having minor surgery on his knee during the season. And he had NFL prospects like Randy Gregory and Eli Harold coming off the edge against him. Not only was he one of the top pass-blockers in college last year, he was one of the top run-blockers too.

When the Miami Hurricanes went his way, he consistently made holes for running back Duke Johnson. The cherry on top of it all is he played in a pro style blocking scheme, similar what the Giants use. So his focus will be mainly on technique as he won’t be overwhelmed by the blocking schemes.
