Situation
The Giants look like they’ve sured up their defense in free agency and the draft this offseason. Corner Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was signed in free agency to play opposite Prince Amukamara. They also drafted safety Landon Collins and defensive end Owamagbe Odighizuwa to rush the passer opposite Jason Pierre Paul.
They have Rashad Jennings to run the ball and Victor Cruz coming back at receiver to go with Odell Beckham Jr. All that leaves the offensive line to be the area for the Giants to straighten up. If they can give quarterback Eli Manning the protection needs, he can take them to the Super Bowl.
That’s exactly why the Giants pick Flowers and with Puh moving to guard, the offensive line was set. That is until Beatty got hurt and now, Puh becomes a question mark at right tackle instead of a sure thing at guard. Now, the pressure is on Flowers too because he and Puh have to play well for the Giants to go anywhere.
