Bottom Line

The team that picks the player has everything to do with if that player will end up being a bust. Teams should always get good football players but they need to fit team’s scheme so they can help. Not allowing players to do what they do best is how a player like Edwards Jr. was a disappointment in college.

Good G.M.s like Reggie McKenzie see that, check for his fit with the Raiders, then pick him as a steal. I was caught up in the Leonard Williams vs Amari Cooper but getting a player like Edwards Jr. after Cooper, is better than Williams then whoever else. The Raiders pass-rush and passing game that was lacking last year could be a strength this year.

Edwards Jr. is just as talented as Leonard Williams, making him the steal of the draft.
