No.3: Jared Goff

Jared Goff had a great 2014 season, completing 62 percent of his passes for 3,973 yards, 35 touchdowns and seven interceptions. As a freshman in 2013, he completed 60 percent of his passes for 3,508 yards with 18 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. I absolutely love that because it’s improvement, up-trend, making it easier to project good things down the road.

Goff can and will add some weight but at 6’4″, 210 pounds, to  be just what the NFL wants . He’s mobile enough to get away from the rush when need be and throws well on the run. But make no mistake about it, Goff is a pocket-passer with good accuracy and enough arm strength.

And even though he runs the spread, he runs a lot of pro style route combinations, requiring him to make progressions and throw into tight windows. He’s actually the second most advanced when it comes to playing the position right now. But he needs to get in the weight room to beef up so I have him at No. 3.
