Around Bridgewater For 2015

Bridgewater will have much better protection in 2015 as he gets his offensive linemen back from injury. Left tackle Matt Kalil had a Pro Bowl rookie campaign but played hurt last year and wasn’t so good. He had knee surgery this offseason so with his physical problems corrected, expect a bounce-back year from him.

Right tackle Phil Loadholt and right guard Bryan Fusco, who both missed time in 2014, will be back. And with the offensive line intact, the Vikings will have running back Adrian Peterson, a quarterback’s ultimate best friend. Opposing defenses will be zeroed in on Peterson, giving Bridgewater a chance to throw the ball down the field.

Cordarrelle Patterson, the Vikings’ first-round pick in 2013, looks like a bust but Bridgewater will have weapons. Charles Johnson came on last year for the team and they picked up Mike Wallace this offseason. Along with DeSean Jackson, Wallace is the NFL’s ultimate deep threat so crowding the line of scrimmage to stop Peterson won’t be safe, making the offense hard to stop.
