Around Carr For 2015

The Raiders offensive line will be a much better unit in 2015 as they have made some changes there. The left side is already solid with left tackle Donald Penn and left guard Gabe Jackson, who played well as a rookie in 2014. They majorly upgraded the center position with Rodney Husdon over Stefen Wisniewski and moved Austin Howard back to his natural position of right tackle.

Then the Raiders just drafted Jon Feliciano in the fourth round to go in there and play right guard. This line will protect Carr well and open holes for running backs like Latavius Murray, who flashed potential in 2014. Then there’s Trent Richardson, who will be back in a power-blocking scheme for the first time since his rookie year where he rushed for 950 yards and 11 TDs.

The big addition the Raiders made for Carr is 2015 first-round pick and receiver Amari Cooper. Their starting receivers didn’t have the speed and quickness to get open down the field or run the ball after the catch last year. But this year will be different for Carr and the Raiders because Cooper can do all of the above.
