Scouting Report

As mentioned already, Alabama is known for their backs so Drake hasn’t had a whole lot of carries. But with the opportunities Drake did get, he showed the he is electric with the ball in his hands. His burst and acceleration make him a threat to go to the house any given time he touches the ball.

That reminds me of Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden when he was a Arkansas. They have same build, ability to catch the ball, versatility to line up at receiver and blazing speed. But when it comes to actually running the ball, don’t think of as another McFadden because he’s not.

Drake has the patience to fit the zone-blocking scheme he runs in at Alabama and used a lot in the NFL. He has great vision and the ability to make you miss in the hole as well as in open space. Drake also has power and balance, making him a tough guy to bring down so arm tackles won’t work.
