Bottom Line

Carr has to be the happiest quarterback in the NFL as the Raider have built around him this year. He’s going to the have weapons to thow to along with good protection from the offensive line. Carr is a good, trustworthy driver but was given the keys to a Nissan Sentra and he couldn’t do much with it.

This offseason, the Raiders went out and bought a Ferrari for him to go out and maneuver with. So Carr is all set to make that jump from year one to two and it will be the biggest jump among the  2014 drafted quarterbacks. The offense will now be better able to move the chains and score points with everything the Raiders put around Carr.

The big question from there is what will outside linebacker Khalil Mack and the defense do on their side. Four division games against Philip Rivers and Peyton Manning are going to be big tests. If the defense holds up their end, this could be a winning season for the Raiders because Carr is coming.
