Early Impressions of 2015 NFL Draft Picks 6-10

New York Giants No. 9 overall Ereck Flowers missed the team’s first day in pads Wednesday. He’s day-to-day with a hip flexor injury so we will get a chance to what’s up with him son enough. So that leaves us with No. 10 overall Todd Gurley, who’s not exactly going all out in practices himself.

But because of who he is and what he means to the St. Louis Rams, we’ll go ahead and check in. Gurley was cleared by doctors for football activity but the Rams are in no rush to put him in harm’s way. He wore a GoPro helmet cam for one of his practices that the Rams’ website tweeted and he looks very athletic and explosive.

Head coach Jeff Fisher told Yahoo Sports, “This is going to be a process,” Fisher said. “It’s not going to be a day-to-day thing. We’re looking at this as a long-term now. When I say long term, I mean let’s just go week to week and go through the preseason and we’ll see where we are when the season starts. He’s not had any setbacks.”
