The Houston Texans have a loaded defensive front-seven and two corners in Pro Football Focus’ top 20. But you can never have too many corners in todays NFL so the took Kevin Johnson the No. 16 overall. Plus today’s general managers have the philosophy of simply taking the best player on the board.

And that just might be what they have as Johnson has already impressed veteran teammate Johnathan Joseph. What Joseph is most impressed about is that the rookie doesn’t carry himself like one. Head coach Bill O’Brien believes Johnson’s preparation, work ethic, and willingness to learn will serve him well.

He said, “He has come in here and done a nice job. He is aggressive. He will make his mistakes, you know, it is a very different game than college. He is an aggressive kid, very smart, and very respectful of the game. He is learning from two guys in J-Jo [Joseph] and Kareem that have played a lot of football. So far he has gotten off to a good start.”
