The Philadelphia Eagles have had to replace a couple of good receivers over the last couple of years. In 2014, DeSean Jackson was cut from the team and Jeremy Maclin stepped up to fill his role. Then he becomes a free agent and signs a lucrative deal to go play for the Kansas City Chiefs.

So in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Eagles took Nelson Agholor at No. 20 overall to replace Maclin. And if you listen to his teammates and coaches, Agholor is ready to replace  immediately. Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur is among them and has Agholor rotating in with the first team both on the outside and in the slot so far in training camp.

He told Delawareonline, “He’s doing terrific. When you’re a high draft pick, you’re sort of on the rubber chicken circuit up until the draft. Then you’re quickly thrown into competition where there’s a lot going on. … You can see he’s becoming more and more comfortable out there playing.”
