D.J. Humphries

I always thought Arizona Cardinals left tackle D.J. Humphries was the best left tackle prospect this year. His length, athleticism and footwork caught the eye of the Cardinals so they took him No. 23 overall. The plan was to move to Humphries right tackle because the Cardinals already have Jared Veldheer on the left side.

But first, head coach Bruce Arians has to tought love to deal with Humphries not-so-high maturity level. And just when it started to pay off, Humphires was out last week with an injured knee. But he was back at practice, getting back into the swing of things at the team’s training camp on Tuesday.

Arians did take notice of Humphries changes and the progress he was making before the injury. He told AzCardinals.com, “D.J. is making a nice move. Hopefully he can get back out there and go as well as he was. He’s gotten serious about this stuff. It’s not college anymore.”
