11. New York Jets- Cardale Jones, QB, Ohio State

Geno Smith has worn out his welcome in New York meaning it’s time for the Jets to find a new potential long-term solution at quarterback. The new coaching and management regime have no tie to Smith which will make it all the easier to pull the plug.

Cardale Jones may be raw but he’s one of the more naturally gifted quarterback prospects to come around in awhile. His rare combination of size, athleticism and arm strength gives him unlimited upside. The Jets just need to make sure they have the right coaches in place to maximize that talent.

Their best course of action might be to keep Ryan Fitzpatrick around for a season to help mentor Jones. They should learn from the previous regime’s poor results of throwing Smith into the mix too early.
