27. Baltimore Ravens- Jalen Ramsey, DB, Florida State

The Baltimore Ravens safety position is a major weak point for the defense. They head into the season with Kendrick Lewis and Will Hill as the projected starters. Both are serviceable but provide little to no upside. Baltimore was counting on Matt Elam to finally live up to his potential but he suffered a season-ending injury.

Florida State’s Jalen Ramsey is a high-end safety prospect who features great athleticism and instincts. He has the size needed to matchup against tight ends and bigger receivers. Florida State often uses him in the slot where he shows the ability to hold up in man coverage. His versatility is something any defensive coordinator will appreciate.

One area he needs to work on is his effort to support the run. There are too many instances where he appears willing to be blocked. Increasing his tenacity will be a key for Ramsey’s draft stock.
