30. Indianapolis Colts- Su’a Cravens, S/LB, USC

Su’a Cravens is a very interesting prospect because he has loads of potential but lacks an immediately identifiable position. He’s listed as a safety but spends most of his time at the line of scrimmage. USC basically uses him as an outside linebacker where he’s asked to blitz off the edge, set the edge against the run and drop into coverage.

He rarely gets a chance to play the role of a deep safety which makes it tough to project his fit at that position. Cravens also has the size and frame needed to play linebacker in the NFL so this seams like a logical transition.

The Indianapolis Colts are searching for increased production from the outside linebacker position and Cravens could be the guy to fill that need. He’ll need to develop more as a pass rusher but he has the burst and length needed to develop.
