A.
The San Francisco 49ers lost Justin Smith among a host of others on their defensive front-7. And 6’7″, 290-pound Arik Armstead has the kind of talent you can build a defensive front-7 around. He’s actually just as talented as Williams, the Jets’ No. 6 overall, but not as advanced as he was a college basketball player at first.

Realizing that, the 49ers selected Armstead with the No, 17 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. His power and athleticism were noticed right away by his coaches and teammates in training camp. And in his preseason debut against the Houston Texans, Armsted was solid, pushing the line of scrimmage backwards.

The against the Dallas Cowboys and their best offensive line in the NFL, Armstead stood out more. He was good against the run and rushed the passer well with a couple of pressures and a pass batted down. Armstead is well on his way to being a star and dominant player so he on the 49ers get an A.
. DE. San Francisco 49ers. ARIK ARMSTEAD
