The Kansas City Chiefs never did make up for losing corner Brandon Flowers a couple of years ago. So back in May, at the 2015 NFL Draft, they selected cornerback Marcus Peters at No. 18 overall. Peters should have been a Top-10 pick but some off-the-field troubles led to him taking a slide.

And for taking a chance on Peters in the first round, it looks like they’ve gotten themselves a player. All reports out of the Chiefs camp have the rookie impressing the team all the way through. Friday evening in a preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks, he was tested and came through okay.

He definitely looked the part with a nice break on the ball for a pass defensed but he wasn’t perfect. Peters got caught peaking in the backfield but the throw was bad and he gave up a 1st-down playing too soft. But it won’t be too long before the NFL knows him so he and the Chiefs get A- on their progress report.
. CB. Kansas City Chiefs. MARCUS PETERS. A-
