Tennessee Titans. MARCUS MARIOTA. A.
Early in the offseason, Tenessee Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt was all in on Zach Mettenberger as his quarterback. But arm talent plus athleticism trumps arm talent alone so the Titans picked Marcus Mariota No. 2 overall. I’m sure all the trade offers put even more pressure on the Titans to take him.

After a reportedly great training camp, Mariota’s first preseason game showed that he has much to learn. Adjusting to the pro game is one thing but the lack of pocket presence he had from college is unacceptable. But in his second preseason game, he was much better, sliding within the pocket and throwing dimes.

One of which was a sure touchdown dropped but he also had a sure interception dropped. His speed and ability to throw on the run were on display to show he’s still the athlete they drafted. Plus he’s much more advanced than I thought he would be at this point so Mariota and the Titans get an A..
. QB
