F.
I never was a fan of offensive lineman Brandon Scherff going in the top 10 of the 2015 NFL Draft. All the straight-ahead speed he showed at the combine doesn’t matter when he doesn’t have good feet. And all that weight-room strength doesn’t matter when you don’t have balance and don’t use leverage.

But desperate to protect quarterback Robert Griffiin III, the Washington Redskins took a Yao Ming sized reach for him. And he’s already having problems, having moved from right tackle to right guard. He was supposed the Redskins another bookend of the offensive line along with left tackle Trent Williams.

But Scherff didn’t look good at right guard Friday night, getting beat badly at times and getting R.G.III killed. On the sack he gave up, I thought the Miami Dolphins traded Ndamukong Suh back to the Lions. But when I looked, sure enough, it was Tyrunn Walker, who had .5 sacks in 2014 so I give him his F so far.
. OL. Washington Redskins. BRANDON SCHERFF
