B+.
For DE Leonard Williams, going No. 6 overall to the New York Jets was considered falling or sliding. The Jets are deep in defensive lineman but got the best player available and it worked out. Standout defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson will serve his 4-game suspension to start the season.

And Muhamaad Wilkerson is at the end of his contract so Williams eases the concern of losing one of them. After being quiet on the stat-sheet in the preseason opener, he had five tackles, three for a loss and 1.5 sacks including a safety in the second preseason game. A lot of the media attributed that to the starters being out but the staring o-line was in.

But on the safety, Falcons guard James Stone didn’t seem to know he was supposed to block Williams. Other than that, he just used sheer aggressiveness and physicality to get into the backfield. He just needs to work one beating his man with hand-technique and swim-moves so he gets a B+.
. DE. New York Jets. LEONARD WILLIAMS
