Bottom Line

Del Rio is definitely trying to bring back the old-school, hard-hitting, physical football, especially on defense. And Mays is probably pound for pound the hardest hitter in the NFL since Ronnie Lott. Norton has a plan for Mays because he knows him and may want to use him like Seattle uses Chancellor.

Or since he has the size and hits hard enough, Norton may just want to convert him to a linebacker. Whatever he plays, the hope is that the Raiders can work with him and get his physicality on the field. But if all else fails, Raiders fans will get to see some hard hits on special teams to get fired up about.

If he’s not anything else, he is a hitter!
