OLB. Denver Broncos. SHANE RAY. C+.
Outside linebacker Shane Ray fell all the way to No. 23 overall for the Denver Broncos to trade up for. I don’t see why a high draft prospect would have bud (marijuana) in his car right before the draft. But we don’t have enough time in this one to even get into what he must have been thinking.

Either way, he’s now with the Broncos, who have a good mentor for him in Demarcus Ware. And so far, after a slow start, he has started to come on and put heat on the opposing quarterback. He even broke through with his first sack of the preseason in the dress rehearsal third preseason game.

But I’m not here to give props to a first-round pick props for doing well against second-team players. Ware is the guy, showing that he still has it, so Ray is going to have to wait his turn to prove himself. Now, it looks like we’ll only see a lot of Ray of Ware is injured or is ineffective.
