Tennessee Titans. MARCUS MARIOTA. C+.
Mariota had a great training camp then was of course uncomfortable in the first preseason game. But one important, positive sign you could see is that he got better as his stint in the game went on. In his second preseason game, he was much better, showing an improved pocket presence and throwing dimes.

And when necessary, Mariota showed why the Tennessee Titans drafted him No. 2 overall. He showed the speed and athleticism to escape the pocket as well as the ability to throw on the run. In game three, for better and for worse, Mariota showed who and what he’s aways been.

He plays within himself and won’t beat himself by trying to force anything or take unecessary risks. And while he can throw dimes, he also can miss guys that are open deep down the field. He also had interceptions go through defenders’ hands but Mariota is more advanced than I thought he would be at this point.
. QB
