BRANDON SCHERFF. D-.
Desperate to protect quarterback Robert Griffiin III, the Washington Redskins took tackle Brandon Scherff. They already have left tackle Trent Williams, who was just rewarded with a fat contract. So the plan was to put Scherff at right tackle but he was so bad, they moved him to right guard.

And it was there that Scherff was a part of the problem that led to R.G.III getting a concussion. He gave up a sack on the day and was physically dominated by an unknown player that only had .5 sacks in 2014. In the third preseason game, Scherff made some adjustments and looked a little better.

But still he didn’t look like he should have been the first offensive lineman taken off the board in 2015. He often threw no-hitters at the second level and was far from a road-grader in the running game. I mainly saw a guy that was at his best when he had help from the center or right tackle.
