Bottom line

This preseason, Cooper has already shown that he is the whole package of a No. 1 receiver in the NFL. He was already one of the best route-runners in the world when he was still at Alabama. He showed that along with his speed when he got behind Newman to catch that deep ball on him.

Then when he beat Peterson, he showed against his ability to make a guy miss and run after the catch. His hands have been reliable too so he has no short-comings as a No. 1 receiver in the NFL. Cooper has superstar written all over him and the fact that he’s pro-ready says he can start his assault on the NFL right away.

While edge-rusher Randy Gregory could challenge from the defensive side, running back Melvin Gordon and receiver Nelson Agholor could also challenge for the NFL Rookie of the Year.

But Cooper looks like the guy.
