The 2nd week of the NFL season was both exciting and telling which has shaken things up with ESPN’s updated Power Rankings. These rankings are a good way to gauge each team’s current status, but I use it to develop a projected 2016 NFL Draft order. The first several picks are very straight forward as I just go in reverse order.
However, figuring out the playoff teams can get a little tricky. The key is to map out what a playoff bracket may look like and then simulate the outcome based on where each team lands on the power rankings. Each division needs to be represented which results in some teams ranking higher on the power rankings but missing the playoffs.
Obviously, this projected order will change from week to week so be sure to check back to see the updates. I’ll also post and updated mock draft on Thursday September 24th.
