Bottom Line

It looks like Cooper has a great year as well as career ahead of him with Carr as his quarterback. It is a match made in the last two drafts that looks like it’s going to get the Raiders out of dungeon they’ve been in the last 12 years. Carr showing the makings of a franchise quarterback with no weapons last year got the big prize this year.

Like Michael Irvin and Troy Aikman at the very end of the ’80s, they were drafted within a year of each other. Barring a catastrophic injury, that allows them plenty of years do their damage in the NFL. Carr has football wisdom way beyond his years and a work ethic just like Cooper’s so he has what he needs at quarterback.

And with his football wisdom way beyond his years along with his athletic talent, the sky is the limit for Cooper.

He is as advertised.
