Game-planning for him

Before the opening day game the Raiders played against the Cincinnati Bengals, offensive coordinator Hue Jackson was asked by the CBS broadcasting crew about his concern about Smith, and he said, “I’m not worried about him.” Then he was asked about Mack and he said, “I have a game plan for him.”

Baltimore Ravens head coach told CSNBAYAREA.com’s Scott Bair, “You probably do have to start with him . I think they have a lot of very good players on defense, but he’s probably the focal point. He’s a potential game-wrecker. That guy can potentially wreck the whole game. You have to pay close attention to him.”

The Ravens and Bengals are playoff teams that are coached well and they had a mixture of game plans. Sometimes the quarterback got rid of the ball quickly and other times, they double teamed him with a guard. They also chipped him with tight ends and running back for a triple-team at times.
