D. <p>Center Alex Mack is not expected to stay with the Browns once the 2015 season is over. So when Cameron Erving moved to center at Florida State last year and played well, they paid attention. And when he was on the board at No. 19 overall, the Browns knew he was their man and picked him.</p> <p>And they may have thought he can grab another position along the offensive whie Mack is still there. But so far, that hasn’t been the case as they’ve had him at right tackle and most recently at right guard. The Browns are actually pretty solid at the tackle position and he couldn’t take one of the guard spots. So it’s a wonder why they even made this pick because they could have developed a center picked in Round 3. No matter how many 1st-round picks the Browns had, they were in no position to take a developmental pick with no role in Round 1.
