WR. Philadelphia Eagles. NELSON AGHOLOR. D-.
The Philadelphia Eagles drafted Nelson Agholor No. 20 overall because he has similar traits to Jeremy Maclin, whom they lost in free agency this offseason. Agholor is a fast, smooth route runner that’s good for a big play much in the same way Maclin is. Not that Maclin made a huge immediate impact but Agholor isn’t making one at all.

If you had seen him this preseason, you would have thought he was ready to make a big splash immediately. Early in his first preseason game, he went up and got a high, short pass and went 34 yards for a touchdown. But since the regular season started, he hasn’t had a chance to do much with just four catches on 11 targets.

Agholor did make his presence felt in the second quarter in Week 4 against the Washington Redskins. He had a nice little one-handed snag of a deep ball for 45 yards before fumble on the next play. On the season so far, Agholor has a pedestrian seven catches for 100 yards, which can’t be what the Eagles were looking for when the drafted him.
