A.
The Denver Broncos are a contender that roster-wise, have what it takes to get to the Super Bowl. As a matter of fact, this may be G.M. John Elway’s last run with Peyton Manning at quarterback. They’re up against the salary-cap too so older players like Manning and Demarcus Ware may be departing.

So when outside linebacker Shane Ray fell all the way to No. 23 overall, the Broncos traded up and pounced on him. And Ware, whom Ray will be replacing eventually, is a good mentor for him in the wake of his offseason troubles. But Ware is balling, showing that he still has it, leading the NFL in sacks here at the quarter-mark.

So Ray is going to have to wait his turn to really show the NFL that he can be a star edge-rusher. Actually, he’s doing that now with the limited opportunities he gets as he has a sack this season. Now, it looks like we’ll only see a lot of Ray of Ware is injured or is ineffective.
. OLB. Denver Broncos. SHANE RAY
