D.
The Detriot Lions took No. 1 guard prospect Laken Tomlinson No. 28 overall so they can run the ball more. They also need to keep pressure from coming into quarterback Matthew Stafford’s face. And from the looks of things, the 6’3″ 325 pounder out of Duke has a good amount of developing to do.

Tomlinson started opening day at left guard against the San Diego Chargers due to Larry Warford’s high ankle sprain. Manny Ramirez then moved from left to right guard and he was up and down in the deal. As physical and athletic as he is, it’s his run blocking that he’s struggling with the most.

Then after a brief stint on the bench, Warford re-agravated his ankle injury and he was back in the starting lineup in Week 4. And this time around, he was a little better than last time but nothing good or special. The whole offensive line protected the passer pretty well against the Seattle Seahawks but the run-blocking was good at all.
. OG. Clemson Tigers. LAKEN TOMLISON
