C+.
Marcus Mariota started his NFL career the same way he ended his college football career. He beat Winston, playing well, falling a few attempts short of getting credit for having a perfect quarterback rating. In his second preseason game, he was much better, showing an improved pocket presence and throwing dimes.

And when necessary, Mariota showed why the Tennessee Titans drafted him No. 2 overall. He showed the speed and athleticism to escape the pocket as well as the ability to throw on the run. In game three, for better and for worse, Mariota showed who and what he’s aways been.

His lack of pocket presence and awarness showed up and he can flat-out miss an open receiver downfield. But he plays within himself and won’t beat himself by trying to force anything or take unecessary risks. He almost messed around and beat Andrew Luck’s the Colts but still he stands at 1-2.
. QB.
