EDGE. Jacksonville Jaguars. DANTE FOWLER JR.. I.
It’s really too bad that 20 minutes into his first practice, Jacksonville Jaguars 1st-round pick Dante Folwer tore an ACL. As it is, their defensive front-7 is No. 9 in the NFL in sacks and No. 4 in run defense. So I can’t help but think of how much better they would be with Fowler able to play.

Ryan Davis has filled in well for him at the Leo position but still, the Jaguars picked Fowler No. 3 overall for a reason. And for good reason, he turns the corner with exceptional burst to get to the quarterback. Imagine Fowler coming off the opposite edge Davis does in passsing situations.

They may be 2-2 instead of 1-3 with a win instead of a loss over the Indianapolis Colts. But I haven’t seen him play in an NFL game and I can’t grade a player based on imagination. However, I can’t wait to see him and his Jaguars when he gets back for next year.
