OL. Washington Redskins. BRANDON SCHERFF. F-.
When is the last time you’ve seen a guard drafted in the top five?

For a guard to even be picked in the first round, he has to be a dominant offensive lineman. And Scherff is far from that but he wasn’t drafted to be a guard, he was drafted to be a right tackle. He was simply moved inside because he didn’t have the pass-blocking skills to be a right tackle.

Come to think of it, teams generally draft left tackles in the top five as right tackles come later. But the Redskins already have left tackle Trent Williams, who was just rewarded with a fat contract. So just like the Raiders with Robert Gallery back in 2004, it looks like the Redskins have a bust on their hands.

At times, he’s had his lunch eaten by unknown defensive tackles.
