Sheldon Richardson will miss at least one more game because of his 4-game suspension. I’m guessing he’s going to miss one more than that due to the time it will take to get reacclimated to football activities. But the New York Jets aren’t in an emergency situation because No. 6 overall Leonard Williams is balling.

Therefore, the New York Jets defense hasn’t missed a beat as they are No. 4 overall and against the pass. Muhammad Wilkerson is balling too with his contract up an the end of the year. So losing Wilkerson isn’t going to be a big loss if he leaves and if Richardson messes up again, he’s not a big loss.

At the same time, the Jets’ embarrassment of riches could get them a good player at a position of need or a high pick in a trade. He has only a half a sack so far this season but he has been disruptive against the run and pass. This is a good pick for the Jets, who are reaping the bennefits of simply taking the best player available.
. DE. New York Jets. LEONARD WILLIAMS. A
