Myles Jack will be a top-15 pick despite his recent knee injury

The season ending injury to UCLA’s Myles Jack was a really tough to see because he’s such fun player to watch. Unexpectedly, it also means that it’s the last time we will see him in a UCLA uniform as Jack recently announced his decision to leave school for the draft.

His decision to leave early isn’t really shocking but it’s the timing of the decision. Jack might be making a rushed decision and painting himself into a corner. His only option at this point is to rehab and prepare for the Draft workout process.

UCLA’s coach Jim Mora has already expressed his disapproval of Jack’s decision, stating:

"“I think it’s very risky to do this. There’s going to be a lot of speculation of who he is and where he fits. As I told Myles, NFL teams are very, very conservative. If there’s any questions whatsoever, they’ll pass on you in a heartbeat.”"

Despite Mora’s disapproval, Jack’s draft stock is in pretty solid shape as long as his recover stays on schedule. The fact is that Jack is an explosive athlete who makes plays all over the field. He’s the type of linebacker who consistently makes his presence known.

There aren’t many linebackers who have the potential to be true 4-down players like Jack. He never has to come off the field meaning he can play the run, rush the passer, hold up in coverage and contribute on special teams.
