Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott will be a top-10 pick

We’re starting to see a slight up-tick in the value of running backs across the NFL. This past weekend, Todd Gurley’s dominate performance helped the St. Louis Rams knock off the undefeated Arizona Cardinals. He’s helping make it ok again to use a high-end draft pick on the running back position.

Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott is on track to build off what Gurley started and work his way into becoming a top-10 pick. Elliott is a versatile running back who can move the chains with both power and quickness. He possesses excellent vision which allows him to use his explosive burst to squeeze through tight running lanes.

Elliott is also an asset in the passing game where he shows reliable hands and is a strong pass protector. Time and again, he has shown that he’s a team player willing to do the dirty work like be a lead blocker for another runner.

Teams looking for someone to help them control the clock while also providing big-play potential should consider pulling the trigger on Elliott early in the 2016 draft.
