Sure, it was fun to watch the game-winning touchdown catch receiver Seth Roberts made against he Baltimore Ravens. But Roberts has also dropped some balls in key situations and cost the Raiders the game against the Denver Broncos. There are some that blame Carr for throwing the ball behind him but that’s not the case.

And no, it wasn’t the Blue Angels’ fault for flying over the stadium and making too much noise to hear Carr’s audible. Receiver is a difficult position for a young player to play because they have to read the defense the same way the quarterback does. When there’s a blitz, the receiver needs to read it on his own and adjust his route accordingly.

Carr said at the press conference, “I threw hot” and there’s no such thing as a hot route that goes all the way across the field. Roberts should have and Carr expected him to stop in that window he threw the ball into. I’m bringing this play up from the last game because things like these can’t happen it the Raiders are to go to the playoffs, which so many of you are hoping for.
