Bottom line
There’s a lot of excitement about Carr with his jump to year two to be named the best 25-and-under QB. Yes, he’s wise beyond his years and has Cooper Crabtree Walford and fullback Marcel Reece to throw to but there are a lot of youngsters around him. And some of these youngsters are why the Raiders are 2-3 instead of 4-1 right now.
Do you think those mistakes are going to stop?
That is why I have maintained that we need to temper our expectations of this young Raiders team. The team is talented so they can beat anyone on any given Sunday but they can also lose on any given Sunday. The only way this young team makes the playoffs is if their unknown youngsters step up consistently.
Too may mistake being made by these youngsters won’t allow them into the playoffs. So if you believe all the youngsters mentioned in this article will step up and make plays you believe the Raiders are going to the playoffs. Just remember, young, talented players wow you before the ultimately disappoint you.
Enjoy the ride!
