Mississippi Rebels receiver Laquon Treadwell has been the No. 1 receiver prospect for the 2016 draft for a while now. And as far as the position goes, he a No. 1 receiver in ever way there is to be one. At 6’2″, 210-pounder has good size, hands, speed , body control, runs good routes and runs well after the catch.

Every No. 1 receiver in the NFL has the total package just like that to beat you in a multitude of ways. Treadwell had all of those traits on full display in a 23-3 win of the Texas A&M Aggies. All the while, confirming that he is no doubt the best receiver prospect in the 2016 NFL Draft.

On the night, Treadwell had five catches for 102 yards and a 58-yard touchdown. On the season, he has 54 catches for 756 yards and five touchdowns while averaging 14 yards per catch. And if you saw and remember the horrific ankle injury he suffered last year against the Auburn Tigers, his performance this year is nothing short amazing.

He’ll only get better in the NFL too as he continues to get more of his speed and explosion back. He may even be ready to light it up in the 2016 NFL Combine next spring should he stay healthy. Treadwell is already on many big boards as a top 10 prospect so continued good health can push him up more.

But one place he’s locked in is the No. 1 receiver prospect for the 2016 NFL Draft.
