Washington Redskins (3-4)
The Washington Redskins are riding high after a great come from behind win against the Tampa Buccaneers but it does little to improve their future outlook. Kirk Cousins will never be a long-term starter in the NFL if he continues his high-rate of turnovers.
Washington’s overall roster makeup is on the incline but their potential is limited because of the quarterback position. They need to find someone who can come in provide stability, limit the turnovers and show more upside than Cousins.
Someone like Memphis’ Paxton Lynch would be a good candidate to fill Washington’s need. He’s a physically talented quarterback who is the top contributor on a Memphis team that continues to surprise.
Lynch is trending towards coming off the board in the middle to late part of the first round. Washington is playing like a team that will win a few more games but fall short of the playoffs.
